Giovanni Quiroz
Hello! My name is Giovanni, I strive to help change the world one mile a time and one action at time. Growing up I have always felt the calling to help others. From doing community outreach through my church and other non-profits this then lead me to pursue a career in healthcare as a nurse. I, myself battled Asthma in my childhood years and was in and out of the hospital every month. I got exposed to a dozen of nurses who served as an inspiration. My love for running began when I joined my first soccer team in elementary school; kicking a ball was fun, but running during the process well became so fun for me too. Running with asthma was no joke and thankfully my doctor always pushed me to run! Running helped me overcome asthma and here I am now a Nurse (I peruse my calling every day to help others) and a Runner ( I run with a cause in instances for charities but also in hopes of promoting health and fitness through my miles).
Advice to your younger self:
Don't under estimate yourself! I used to be so fearful of public speaking or sharing my ideas. Fear can keep you from achieving the great purpose that God has for you.
How do you hope to inspire others?
I hope to inspire others by leading by example. I believe that if you want to change the world it starts with yourself. Then those with those around you; family, friends, community. Only then will you create a meaningful and powerful impact. I want every run and action I do to have meaning not only for me but for those around me.
Besides running, what other hobbies/activities do you like doing?
I love hiking, backpacking, camping, and hitting the gym. Being outdoors and exploring our National Parks being one of my favorites!
